Participation de Joerg Hofstetter au Forum Globalization and Industralization
Le 6 décembre 2021, Joerg Hofstetter, professeur à KEDGE, a participé au Forum Globalization and Industrialization notamment organisé par l’UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation).
Il est intervenu pendant la session dédiée à l'« Innovative approaches to achieving sustainability in global supply chains »
Son intervention sous forme d’entretien était dédiée à la Supply Chain durable.
The key insight is that the current approach of "simply buying" without active involvement or attention on the upstream supply chain is becoming too dangerous - for society, the natural environment, customers, and the companies themselves.
The changes required are deep, and often go against the company culture. Governments and investors need to support in particular those organizations that engage with their upstream value chain. Value chains become a core competence required to achieve the UN SDGs and implement the European Green Deal.
Joerg Hofstetter
Joerg S. Hofstetter est Professeur Associé en supply chain management et a reçu son diplôme d'ingénieur de l’Université de Stuttgart (Allemagne) et son doctorat en sciences de gestion de l’Université de St. Gall (Suisse) en 2004.
Avant de rejoindre KEDGE, il était professeur assistant de supply chain management à l’Université de St. Gall et directeur adjoint de la chaire en gestion de la logistique. Il est Président de l’International Forum on Sustainable Value Chains (ISVC).
Ses recherches portent sur les aspects de la gestion des chaines de valeurs globales des entreprises, la supply chain durable, la gestion des fournisseurs amont et l’achat durable.
Il a entre autre publié dans Organization & Environment, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Cleaner Production et Journal of International Business Policy.

La pandémie de COVID 19 a mis en lumière les problématiques de Global Supply Chain, le Forum 2021 convoque des membres de gouvernements, des enseignants-chercheurs, des personnes du secteur privé ou encore de la société civile afin de débattre pour rendre la Global Supply Chain plus durable.
